Terrano Napa Valley Estate: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot
Calistoga, next to the winery at 400 Silverado Trail. Our 8 acre estate vineyard was planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot in 1998 and 2000.We began farming traditionally and converted to organic farming practices in 2006. There are 3 clones of Cabernet Sauvignon (337, 7 and 4), about an acre of Cabernet Franc and just a quarter acre of Merlot. These small blocks provide the blending components for our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. The soil is mainly clay loam, becoming more volcanic closer to the mountains to the east.
Luvisi Vineyards: Old Vine Zinfandel
Adjacent to our estate in Calistoga. This vineyard was planted more than 90 years ago. The gnarled vines produce a limited amount of fruit that is very distinctive and unique to the place. We enjoy sourcing fruit from our neighbors.
